These terms apply when you use The Hero Journal, operated by Daniel Brandão Lopes. On Google Play, the app is published by Vin 7 Tecnologia e Negócios. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.
The Hero Journal is a discipline app. You organize tasks across six areas of life, called Realms, score them from 0 to 100, follow your progress, set reminders and, if you want, compare scores with friends. It works in a browser and in the mobile apps.
You must be at least 13 years old. If the law where you live sets a higher age for using a service like this on your own, you need the permission of a parent or guardian.
Give accurate information and keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account. If you sign in with Apple or Google, their own terms also apply to that sign-in.
What you write in your journal is yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to run the service for you, including through the providers listed in the Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for what you enter. Only add information about other people, such as a friend's email address or a contact's phone number, if you are allowed to. Friends you connect with see what your sharing level allows.
The Hero Journal is a self-discipline tool. Nothing in the app, in the reminders or on the blog is medical, mental health, legal or financial advice. Talk to a professional before making big changes to your health, training or money.
The Hero Journal is free to use today and has no paid features. If paid features appear, the price will be shown before you buy. The store on our website announces products that are not on sale yet.
We work to keep the service running, but we provide it as it is, and it may have errors or interruptions. We may change or remove features over time. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses caused by using or not being able to use the service.
You can stop at any time and delete your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or when the law requires it. Where possible, we will tell you first.
If you got the app from an app store, that store's own terms also apply to the download. The store is not responsible for the app or for supporting it. We are.
Nothing in these terms removes the protections you have under the mandatory consumer and privacy laws of the country where you live. If you have a problem with the service, write to hello@theherojournal.com first. We will try to solve it with you.
If these terms change, we will update this page and its date. For important changes, we will also let you know in the app or by email before they take effect.
